Please be advised that the following position is open for applications: COA/GAP Program Assistant (Part-time)
Assist in the development and operation of the Council for Older Adults (COA) and Golden Age Program (GAP). Other key duties include: · Answer telephone, provide information to callers, route calls as needed and schedule appointments at both the HANCI office and the GAP. · Setup and operate bingo equipment as well as call bingo games at various Golden Age Program locations. · Attend meetings, seminars and training sessions as required. · Coordinate miscellaneous activities at the GAP Office to include selling greeting cards, stamps, event and lottery tickets, etc. Educational Experience/Requirements: 1. Graduation from a high school or possession of a high school equivalency and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience. OR 2. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two-year College or University with a degree in general studies or a closely related field with two (2) years related experience. Must have own transportation, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, good working knowledge of community resources serving the elderly, ability to work independently and in a team environment and excellent oral/written communication skills.
