Main Function:
|
|
To provide home health aide care to clients at assigned locations and time. To offer care to a client whose health condition is less stable and may require a higher level of paraprofessional services than that of personal care. |

RN Supervisor |
| Responsibilities: |
|
- Personal Care - Assists with:
- - Activities of daily living to maintain and promote an optimal level of activity by the patient
- Homemaking - Assist with:
- Meal planning and preparation
- Light housekeeping (includes kitchen, bedroom, bathroom)
- Assist with payment of bills
- Perform other specified essential errands
- Provides other services as authorized by supervisor.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics: |
|
- Working knowledge of the care of the physical, emotional and developmental characteristics of a client in a home-like setting.
- Demonstrated ability to transfer client(s).
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with others.
- Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

| Education and Experience: |
|
- A certificate from a training program in home health aide services approved by the New York State Department of Health.
OR
- An equivalency certificate from an agency approved by the New York State Departments of Health to provide such a certificate.
AND
- Must have training and knowledge in Age specific competency from birth to death.
In those instances where health related tasks are to be performed, training in such health-related tasks is required and demonstration of compentency obtained prior to performing the tasks. |
