Oishei Foundation awards $285,000 form intensive Falls after-school program. In partnership with the Niagara Falls City School District and the Niagara Falls Housing Authority, HANCI will use the grant to improve the academic performance of at-risk second and third graders at Harry F. Beginning in September, selected Abate students will take part in one-on-one and small-group tutoring, fitness activities, service learning, fine arts, and cultural exploration. The after-school programs will be offered at HANCI, 1302 Main St., and the Housing Authority's Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth St. Enrollment information will be released this summer.

The John R. The Foundation was established in 1940 by John R. Oishei, founder of Trico Products Corporation.
