HANCI PR staff wins seven Excalibur Awards

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., June 21, 2010 — The Health Association of Niagara County Inc. recently won seven Excalibur Awards from the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The awards recognize excellence in public relations programs and projects.

Jeff Paterson, director of communication and advancement, and Kate LaBrake, public relations coordinator, accepted the awards on June 17 at a dinner in Depew. HANCI’s two gold awards were awarded in the brochures category and the direct mail/direct response category. The agency also won silver awards for media relations, institutional programs, community relations, and public relations workshops. HANCI won a bronze award in the public service category.

A panel of public relations professionals from southeastern Wisconsin judged this year’s entries. In all, 21 organizations entered 74 cases for judging, of which 57 were selected for recognition.

2010 marks the tenth consecutive year that HANCI has earned Excalibur Award recognition. The agency has won 41 Excalibur Awards since 2001.
