World AIDS Day to be commemorated in Niagara Falls
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., Nov. 28, 2011 – As the world marks 30 years since the first reported case of HIV/AIDS, the Niagara community will join in commemorating World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. The free event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, 1201 Pine Ave.
The evening will include a candlelight vigil, a dramatic performance about the early years of the AIDS epidemic, free confidential HIV testing, and refreshments. It is sponsored by the Niagara County AIDS Task Force and the Community Health Center of Niagara.
