National Federation for Just Communities 2007 Community Leaders Awards

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., Feb. 27, 2007 - The Health Association of Niagara County Inc. was recently honored at the National Federation for Just Communities 2007 Community Leaders Awards luncheon.


Of the more than 300 entries in all categories submitted, HANCI was awarded the Community Leader in Healthcare award for its work in diversity and crossing cultural divides.

"I am honored to represent HANCI and receive this award on behalf of our wonderful staff," said HANCI’s Executive Director, John Kinner.  "Our main focus is to provide caring and a variety of services to people across the community."

The NFJC honored HANCI, three other organizations and 38 individuals at the Buffalo Convention Center in January.

The NFJC is a human relations organization dedicated to overcoming racism, bias and discrimination by building understanding, respect and trust through education advocacy and community involvement 

HANCI, established in 1927, promotes health, wellness and independence across generations through diversified programs and services.
