HANCI - Adult Day Services
If you're a caregiver struggling to meet all your obligations,
HANCI Adult Day Services may be right for you.
HANCI Adult Day Services is a safe, enjoyable place where frail or disabled adults can spend the day. This frees their caregivers to go to work, run errands or take a break from the stress of caregiving. As a result, participants are able to remain living at home for a much longer time than might otherwise be possible. Activities include conversation and friendly visiting, music and art, walks and outdoor activities, and light exercise. A nutritious breakfast and lunch are provided.

The program operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Schedules are tailored to meet the family's needs and can include schedules of less than 4 hours ($25) or more than 4 hours ($40). Transportation is available, depending on where the participant lives. A full-time personal care aide provides personal assistance as needed. Volunteers from the Senior Companion Program assist participants and provide many new friends with whom to interact.
Services can be paid for through direct payment by the family, qualification in the Long Term Home Health Care program of the Niagara County Department of Social Services, or funding assistance through the Niagara County Office for the Aging. Please discuss these options with the director. Transportation needs and options should also be discussed with the director at the time of enrollment.
HANCI's Adult Day Services program is in compliance with standards set by the New York State Office for the Aging and is a member of the New York State Adult Day Services Association.
